2007 Major Crusaders Hockey Academy Crowned Champions in Phoenix

It ended up being an all-Alberta final in the Cactus Cup Peewee A division as the Crusaders Academy took on the Edmonton Gorillas in the Cactus Cup final in Phoenix, Arizona. By all accounts, it was an extremely fast and competitive game that saw the Crusaders coming out on top in a tightly contested 2-1 game.

The two teams both went undefeated through the tournament and left a swath on the competition as they each amassed a goal differential of +27 (Crusaders) and +17 (Gorillas). Both teams were terrific representatives of the Hockey Super League in having an extremely successful trip to the desert.

Congratulations to both the 2007 Major Crusaders and 2007 Major Edmonton Gorillas on showcasing your talents and your success south of the border. We look forward to seeing your teams compete for the HSL Championship during the weekend of March 8th to 10th at the River Cree Arena in Edmonton!
