The Hockey Super League is proud to welcome the Sask Super Selects as the newest franchise for our 10th anniversary season. Joining the 2015 Major and 2018 Major divisions, the Saskatoon-based program further strengthens the league’s footprint on the Prairies and deepens an already strong Saskatchewan presence.?
Building on a rich provincial tradition
With the addition of the Sask Super Selects, Saskatchewan will now be represented by four franchises in the HSL pathway: the Sask Super Selects, South Sask Academy, Queen City Young Guns, and Warriors Sask operating under the Warriors banner out of Calgary. This growing Saskatchewan contingent reflects the depth of talent in the province and provides even more high-performance opportunities for young athletes who want to test themselves against elite competition.
Leadership with a clear vision
Co-Founded by Shane Endicott and Mark Loeppky, the Sask Super Selects are built on a vision of high-character, high-tempo hockey that prepares players for the next level on and off the ice. Shane will oversee player development, coaching standards, and the team’s overall competitive direction. Guiding day-to-day hockey decisions is Trevor Robertson, who steps in as Head of Hockey Operations, ensuring that the core values and program excellence are maintained while developing a world class organization.
"This program was built to give athletes true control of their schedules and a world-class, vertically integrated development system that supports them from the early years to the game’s elite levels—while freeing up more time for school, training, and family.”
- Shane Endicot ( Co-Founder / President )
“Today is about momentum. Saskatoon is ready for this, and we’re proud to provide a program that builds teams rooted in the culture, work ethic, and passion our province is known for.”
- Trevor Robertson ( Head of Hockey Operations )
Together, Endicott, Loeppky and Robertson bring a blend of entrepreneurial drive and hockey experience that aligns tightly with the Hockey Super League’s development model.?
Focused on the 2015 and 2018 age groups
The Sask Super Selects will immediately compete in the 2015 Major and 2018 Major divisions, adding another premier destination for families in those birth years seeking a structured, long-term development environment. Their arrival will raise the bar of competition in both divisions and introduce new rivalries with existing Saskatchewan programs already established within the league.
Looking ahead to our 10th anniversary season
As the Hockey Super League celebrates a decade of providing a premier development platform across Western Canada, the timing could not be better to welcome a franchise that embodies the league’s core values of skill, speed, and sportsmanship. We are excited to see the Sask Super Selects take the ice, forge their identity, and add their own chapter to the growing story of elite hockey in Saskatchewan.?
