The Spartan Hockey Academy 14M squad delivered a commanding performance against the Stars Hockey Academy, cruising to an 8-1 victory in a game that was effectively decided by the end of the first period. From the opening faceoff, the Spartans established offensive dominance, unleashing a barrage of 26 shots in the first period alone. Sutton Ulmer opened the scoring at 16:22, followed quickly by Charlie Couldwell's game-winning goal at 9:34 and another from Ulmer at 6:41. The Stars struggled to contain the Spartan attack while dealing with penalty trouble, particularly from Darius Chiniquay who took three minors throughout the contest.
Despite being heavily outshot, the Stars showed resilience in the second period when Zachary Eastland finally put his team on the board at 13:36 with assists from Mickaila Kawula and Stephen Kim. However, any momentum was quickly extinguished as the Spartans responded with three unanswered goals from Hunter Evaskevich, Drew Balderston, and Colby Lane before the period ended. Stars goaltender Brennan Begley faced an incredible 65 shots throughout the game, standing tall despite the relentless pressure from the Spartan offense.
The third period saw the Spartans continue their offensive exhibition with Jack Purdy scoring twice to complete his brace, while Eli Robinson closed out the final 20 minutes with a perfect shutout performance in relief of Quinten Alessio. The final shot count of 65-19 told the story of a game completely controlled by the visiting Spartans, who showcased their depth with eight different goal scorers and multiple players recording multi-point games in a comprehensive team victory.
