The MOB Hockey team came out firing on all cylinders in the first period, setting the tone for what would become a commanding 5-2 victory over Saints Pro Hockey Academy. From the opening faceoff, MOB established offensive dominance, outshooting the Saints 19-4 in the first period. The pressure paid off when Ryker Philpott opened the scoring at 15:25 of the first period, giving MOB an early lead they would never relinquish. The physical game was evident throughout, with both teams taking multiple penalties in a chippy opening frame that saw four different players sent to the box.
Saints Pro Hockey Academy mounted a comeback attempt in the second period, dramatically increasing their shot total to 15 and finding the back of the net twice. Lukas Michalski scored at 16:31 to tie the game, and Wilhelm Hartmann capitalized on a power play opportunity at 12:15, with assists from Jamal Caseley and Smith Love, to briefly give the Saints a 2-1 lead. However, MOB's penalty kill unit settled in after that, and despite taking several more penalties, they limited the damage and kept the game within reach heading into the final period.
The third period belonged entirely to MOB Hockey as they exploded for four unanswered goals to secure the decisive victory. Brodyn King started the onslaught with a power play goal just 15 seconds into the period, assisted by Liam Rodriguez and Ryker Philpott. Rodriguez then scored the game-winner at 16:33 with help from EJ Hawco, giving MOB a lead they would only build upon. Philpott completed his hat trick with goals at 5:50 and 2:51, the first assisted by Jaxon Dyke and Adam McMillan, and the second by Rodriguez. The offensive outburst, combined with Lennon Andrews' solid 27-save performance in net for MOB, proved too much for the Saints to overcome in a dominant third-period display.
