The MOB Hockey team came out firing on all cylinders, dominating the shot count from the opening faceoff, but it was the Saints Pro Hockey Academy who skated away with a narrow 4-3 victory in a game defined by special teams and physical play. MOB's Jabriel Sharma, wearing number 34, was an early force, netting two first-period goals. He opened the scoring at even strength, assisted by Maverick Wigle and Adam McMillan, and then capitalized on a power play just minutes later, with Luke Snow and McMillan providing the helpers. However, the Saints weathered the early storm, with Liam Shoquist answering back for the visitors at even strength late in the period to keep the game close.
The middle frame saw the Saints seize control by exploiting MOB's mounting penalty trouble. Liam Shoquist struck again, this time on the power play, to tie the game early in the second. The Saints then took their first lead of the night when Jamal Caseley found the back of the net at even strength. The period was a parade to the penalty box, with both teams combining for six minors, including a pair of roughing calls and a boarding penalty against the Saints' Wilhelm Hartmann. Despite being outshot 21-7 in the period, Saints goaltender Kyston Tremblay stood tall, turning away every MOB attempt to keep his team in front.
MOB continued to pour on the pressure in the third, firing 22 more shots at Tremblay, but the Saints' netminder was the story of the final stanza. The home team managed to claw one back on a power play goal from Malachi Natividad, assisted by Jaxon Dyke, to make it a one-goal game with over eight minutes to play. Despite two more Saints penalties giving MOB late opportunities, Tremblay and the Saints' defense held firm, blocking shots and clearing rebounds to preserve the lead. The final horn sounded on a hard-fought road win for the Saints, who were outshot 54-18 but were ultimately more clinical on their chances and perfect on the penalty kill when it mattered most.
