The South Sask Academy and MOB Hockey delivered an offensive showcase, with MOB Hockey ultimately prevailing 5-3 in a back-and-forth contest. The home team came out flying, as Gavin Johnson (#91) opened the scoring at 8:45 of the first period, assisted by Kipton Tremblay (#13). Just over two minutes later, Tremblay set up Oliver Anderson (#63) to double the Academy's lead to 2-0. However, a hooking penalty to Finn Mannle (#17) gave MOB Hockey a crucial power play, and Brodyn King (#7) capitalized with help from Liam Rodriguez (#9) and Lucas Smith (#78) to cut the deficit in half before the first intermission.
MOB Hockey seized control in the second period, outshooting the Academy 18-9. Jabriel Sharma (#34) tied the game early, finishing a setup from Ryker Philpott (#16) and Adam McMillan (#24). Malachi Natividad (#13) then gave MOB their first lead of the night with an unassisted goal. The third period saw MOB extend their advantage, as Adam McMillan (#24) scored what would stand as the game-winner, assisted by Mason Macdonnell (#77) and Natividad. Brodyn King (#7) netted his second of the game, with McMillan returning the favor on an assist, to make it 5-2. A late penalty shot goal by South Sask's Kipton Tremblay (#13), set up by Magnum Swinburnson (#55), provided a final flourish but couldn't spark a comeback.
Despite a strong push in the third that saw them outshoot MOB 17-10, South Sask Academy couldn't overcome the disciplined surge from the visitors. MOB Hockey's special teams made the difference early, and their balanced attack, led by multi-point nights from Brodyn King, Adam McMillan, and Malachi Natividad, proved too much to handle. The game was a testament to resilience, as MOB weathered the early storm and methodically built their lead to secure the road victory.
