Emmett Brown opened the scoring midway through the first period, followed quickly by Cody Vanberg, setting the tone for what was to come. The second period became an absolute shooting gallery as the Rebels unleashed 36 shots, with Vanberg netting his second, Mateo Jim scoring what would stand as the game-winner, and Cohen Arias adding a shorthanded tally. Despite brief responses from Riggers' Nate Sinatynski and Logan Walker, the Rebels' relentless pressure continued with Nolan Hnydyk and Duke Scrannage exchanging goals in a wild five-minute span that saw the Rebels take a commanding 6-3 lead into the final frame.
