The Junior Athletics delivered a commanding performance from start to finish, overwhelming the North Stars Academy Wild with a decisive 7-1 victory. From the opening faceoff, the Athletics established their dominance, outshooting the Wild 10-3 in the first period alone. Emmett Franklin opened the scoring midway through the first period with an assist from Caius Preston, setting the tone for what would become a relentless offensive display. Hayes Miazga followed with what would prove to be the game-winning goal just minutes later, and Nikson Bear added another before the period ended, giving the Athletics a comfortable 3-0 lead heading into the first intermission.
The second period saw no letup from the visiting squad as Oakleigh Madsen extended the lead early, assisted by Jacoby Albert. Joseph Wandler found the back of the net midway through the period, pushing the score to 5-0. The physicality intensified as both teams exchanged penalties, with Tor Aarbo taking two separate minors for the Athletics and Carter Jackson serving time for the Wild. Despite the North Stars Academy's efforts to mount a comeback, they couldn't solve Athletics goaltender Jasper Leinenweber, who turned away every shot he faced through two periods.
Any hope of a Wild comeback was dashed early in the third period when Nixon Flintoff scored a shorthanded goal for the home team, finally breaking Leinenweber's shutout bid. However, the Athletics quickly responded as Kixtyn Warrington restored the five-goal margin with help from Dekker Tymchyshyn. Cam Buckley capped off the scoring late in the game, assisted by Franklin who recorded a multi-point night. The final shot count told the story of the game - 50-14 in favor of the Athletics - as Leinenweber earned the win with a solid performance in net while Grady Wright faced a barrage of shots throughout the contest for the Wild.
