The North Stars Academy Wild delivered a stunning offensive clinic, overcoming a significant shot deficit to dominate the HDC Bandits with a commanding 9-2 victory. The game began with the Bandits controlling the pace, outshooting the Wild 13-2 in the first period and getting on the board first with a goal from Braydon Rasmussen, assisted by Lucas Dharamsi. Despite being heavily outshot, the Wild's defense, anchored by an outstanding performance from goalie Grady Wright, held firm. Wright faced a barrage of 35 shots, turning away 33 of them and giving his team a chance to find their offensive rhythm.
The second period marked a dramatic turning point. Ayden Ouellette evened the score early, and then Braxden Braconnier gave the Wild their first lead, with assists from Remy Wattie and Grady Schwab. The momentum fully shifted when Axten van Nieuwkerk netted the game-winning goal. Penalties began to plague the Bandits, with Rasmussen taking two minors in the period, disrupting their flow and allowing the Wild to seize control. The third period was an absolute explosion from the North Stars, who scored six unanswered goals in a breathtaking display. Temple Dudman scored twice, Gage Stephanson added a pair of his own—including one assisted by Alexandre Woodlock—and Wyatt Kolibab and van Nieuwkerk each found the back of the net again to complete the rout.
While the Bandits managed a second goal from Lucas Dharamsi early in the third, it was a mere consolation in a game that was thoroughly controlled by the Wild in the latter half. The final score of 9-2 was a testament to the incredible efficiency of the North Stars' offense, which capitalized on their chances despite being outshot 35-19, and the rock-solid goaltending of Grady Wright, who was the undeniable backbone of this impressive team win.
