The Saints Pro Hockey Academy unleashed an offensive onslaught to defeat the Stars Hockey Academy 9-4 in a thrilling Hockey Super League matchup. The game started with early momentum swings as Nixon Stafford opened scoring for the Saints at 14:34 of the first period, only to have Chase Beach answer for the Stars just over five minutes later. The period ended with Keaton Niles netting a shorthanded goal for the Saints after Emmett Bresden took an early unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, giving the home team a 2-1 lead heading into the first intermission.
The second period proved to be the decisive frame as the Saints exploded for six goals in a dominant display. Jett Holmes and Carson Rath traded goals just 27 seconds apart early in the period, with Rath then adding the game-winner at 14:10 to complete his hat trick. Stafford netted his second of the game while Luke Hargrave capitalized on a power play opportunity after Daniel Carnero took a tripping penalty. The Stars showed brief resistance with Liam Lafleur scoring twice, including an unassisted marker in the final minute of the period, but the Saints entered the final frame with a commanding 8-3 advantage.
Despite Colt Rimer giving the Stars an early third-period goal, the Saints defense tightened and limited their opponents to just four shots in the final frame. The penalty kill units were tested throughout the period with multiple infractions on both sides, but Jase Wright sealed the victory with a shorthanded empty-netter for the Saints. Carson Rath's hat trick performance stood out in the offensive explosion, while Keaton Niles and Sam Matthews each contributed multiple assists in the convincing victory that saw the Saints outshoot the Stars 48-19 overall.
