The Saints Pro Hockey Academy delivered a commanding performance from start to finish, overwhelming the South Sask Academy with a decisive 7-0 victory. From the opening faceoff, Saints established their dominance, outshooting South Sask 13-3 in the first period alone. The breakthrough came midway through the opening frame when Keaton Niles capitalized on a power play opportunity, assisted by Cohen Durrand, setting the tone for what would become a relentless offensive display. South Sask found themselves in penalty trouble early with infractions from Jack Butler, Zachariah Thompson, and a bench minor for too many players, giving Saints ample opportunities to control the game's tempo.
The second period saw Saints extend their lead with Carson Rath scoring just 15 seconds into the frame. The special teams continued to shine as Keaton Niles added a shorthanded goal midway through the period, demonstrating Saints' ability to score in all situations. South Sask's penalty woes continued with trips from Kane Schwabe and Berk Fellner, while Saints' Mahlon Swaok and Benton Creech also found themselves in the box during a physical middle frame. Despite generating more shots than in the first period, South Sask couldn't solve Saints goaltender Layton Chalifoux-Blais, who was perfect when called upon.
Saints put the game completely out of reach in the third period with three more goals. Mahlon Swaok converted on another power play chance early in the period, assisted by Luke Hargrave and Carson Rath. The offensive onslaught continued in the final minutes with Sam Matthews scoring at even strength, followed just 32 seconds later by Jett Holmes finding the net, with Keaton Niles picking up his third point of the game with an assist. The shutout performance by Layton Chalifoux-Blais, combined with multi-point games from Keaton Niles and Carson Rath, highlighted a complete team effort that left South Sask searching for answers after being outshot 26-19 and unable to capitalize on any of their opportunities.
