The Stars Hockey Academy and Aces Hockey Academy treated fans to a back-and-forth offensive showcase that ended in a dramatic 4-4 tie. The game kicked off with a quick strike from the Aces, as Bo Zinter found the back of the net late in the first period, assisted by Lars Fetter. The second period turned into a goal-fest, with the Aces extending their lead on tallies from Keenan Fedun and Rylan Bigelow. Just as the Aces seemed to be pulling away, Walker Hirsekorn put the Stars on the board, assisted by Jaxon Kallis and Couper Yankilevich. The Aces responded immediately, however, with Bo Zinter netting his second of the game just nine seconds later to restore the two-goal cushion.
Heading into the third period down 4-1, the Stars mounted an incredible comeback, spearheaded by a stunning individual effort from Liam Lafleur. Lafleur scored an unassisted goal just 27 seconds into the period to ignite the rally, and then completed a natural hat trick with two more goals, both set up beautifully by Colt Rimer. His final goal, with just over a minute left on the clock, completed the three-goal third period and secured a hard-fought point for the Stars. The frantic final frame was punctuated by penalties to Carter Cummings of the Aces and Sebastian Rubiano of the Stars, but neither power play could break the deadlock in a game where goalie statistics were not tracked, leaving the final shot totals—19 for the Stars and 17 for the Aces—to tell the story of a closely contested battle from start to finish.
