The Warriors Hockey Academy (Sask) showcased their offensive depth and special teams prowess in a commanding 5-2 road victory over South Sask Academy. The game started with South Sask seizing an early lead on a power play, as Louie Clarke buried a goal at 10:51 of the first period, assisted by Liam Faris and Brooks Batters. However, the Warriors quickly responded, with Benjamin Miller netting an even-strength tally just over two minutes later, assisted by Nash Reschny. The back-and-forth continued into the second period when Clarke struck again for South Sask, giving them a 2-1 lead with help from Kane Schwabe. But the momentum shifted dramatically as penalty trouble mounted for the home side.
The turning point came midway through the second period. With South Sask's Calder Crossman serving a tripping penalty, River Andrews capitalized on the power play for the Warriors, tying the game at 2-2 with assists from Kaleb Bodnar and Meyer Rokosh. Just over two minutes later, with Crossman again in the box—this time for a body check—Andrews struck once more on the man advantage, netting the game-winning goal with helpers from Nash Reschny and Karter Paulgaard. The Warriors' power play was lethal, and South Sask's parade to the penalty box proved costly, as they took four minor penalties in the second period alone.
The third period was all Warriors as they put the game out of reach. River Andrews completed his hat trick with an unassisted even-strength goal, showcasing his individual skill. Declan MacLeod then added a final power play goal late in the period, with Paulgaard and Miller picking up their second assists of the night. Despite a valiant effort from South Sask goalie McKenna Gardipy, who faced a barrage of 25 shots, the Warriors' relentless attack and disciplined special teams were the difference. Ryker Caffet earned the win in net for the Warriors, backstopping his team to a decisive victory built on a strong finish and opportunistic scoring.
