The Aces Hockey Academy built a commanding lead and then withstood a furious third-period rally from the Warriors Hockey Academy to secure a 5-3 victory in a penalty-filled contest. The Aces struck early and often, with Rylan Bigelow (#14) leading the charge. He opened the scoring just 25 seconds after a Warriors penalty, finishing a play set up by Lars Fetter (#9) and Cooper Schenk (#2) on the power play to give the Aces a 2-0 lead after the first period. Bigelow would add another even-strength goal in the second, completing a multi-point night that kept the Warriors on their heels. The Aces' defense, anchored by goaltender Cash Hauser (#74), was perfect through two periods, turning away all 17 shots he faced as his team took a 3-0 lead into the final frame.
The Warriors, however, refused to go quietly. Sparked by a power play of their own early in the third, Kaleb Bodnar (#24) finally solved Hauser to get the home team on the board. The momentum fully shifted just minutes later when Meyer Rokosh (#5) buried a feed from Bodnar to cut the deficit to a single goal, sending a jolt of energy through the Warriors' bench. The comeback bid was short-lived, however, as the Aces responded with a crucial goal just three minutes later. Cruz Freadrich (#4) netted the eventual game-winner, assisted once again by the prolific Bigelow and the playmaking Schenk, to restore a two-goal cushion for the visitors. Bentley Argue (#86) brought the Warriors back within one with under four minutes to play, but an empty-net goal from Bo Zinter (#63) in the final minute sealed the deal for the Aces.
The game was a special teams battle and a showcase for several key playmakers. For the victorious Aces, Rylan Bigelow's two goals and an assist were instrumental, while Cooper Schenk (#2) quietly racked up three assists, setting up the game-winner and the empty-netter. Lars Fetter (#9) also contributed a goal and two helpers in a strong performance. Despite the loss, the Warriors showed tremendous fight in the third period, with Kaleb Bodnar and Karter Paulgaard (#9) each recording two points in the rally. In the end, the Aces' early dominance and timely response to the Warriors' push proved to be the difference, earning them a hard-fought road victory.
