The game was effectively decided in a staggering second period where the Spartans scored seven unanswered goals, turning a competitive contest into a lopsided affair. Renim Kaiser, wearing number 91, was the undeniable star of the show, netting an incredible six goals for the Spartans, including a power-play marker and a shorthanded effort, showcasing his lethal finishing ability.
The Caps showed brief flashes of resistance. Maverick Ayles got the home team on the board in the first period, and goals from Reid Labbe, Freddy Kickham, and Mason Manuntag provided the Caps' scoring.
