The Aces Hockey Academy put on an offensive clinic, overwhelming Northern HC with a dominant 10-3 victory. From the opening puck drop, the Aces established control, outshooting their opponents 11-4 in the first period and setting the tone for the night. Christopher Cirone opened the scoring midway through the first, and the floodgates quickly followed with goals from Cash Smiley and Riley Bresnahan. Northern HC managed a brief spark when Chaz Hall converted a penalty shot with just nine seconds left in the period, but that would be one of the few bright spots for the visitors as they headed into the intermission trailing 3-1.
The second period was an absolute explosion from the Aces, who fired 20 shots on net and found the back of it six times. Cash Smiley netted his second of the game early in the frame, and after Beaux Blatz responded for Northern HC, the Aces went on a relentless tear. Christopher Cirone scored his second, Nathan Ehrlich capitalized on a power play, and Benson DeBlieck, Riley Bresnahan, and Zachary Ewasiuk all tallied to build an insurmountable 9-2 lead. The Aces' offense was a well-oiled machine, with multi-point nights from Cirone, DeBlieck, Hayes Lajoie, and Bentley Prusko, while Northern HC's goalie Tate Poitras faced a barrage of 46 shots.
Any hope of a Northern HC comeback was extinguished in the final frame. Everett Manderscheid scored for the visitors early in the third, but Cash Smiley completed his hat trick just over a minute later to restore the seven-goal cushion and cap the scoring at 10-3. The Aces' defensive effort was just as impressive as their offense, with goalies Dawson Komant and Sebastien Wolfli combining to turn aside all but three of the limited shots they faced. This commanding performance showcased the Aces' firepower and team cohesion, leaving no doubt as to which was the superior squad on this night.
