The Young Kings Hockey team delivered an offensive masterclass, overwhelming the Spartan Hockey Academy 17M with a decisive 10-4 victory in a game that featured explosive scoring and relentless pressure. The Kings set the tone early with a dominant first period, netting five unanswered goals. Thatcher Zaina opened the scoring at 13:25, followed quickly by Lowen Tailfeathers just 29 seconds later. Hunter Lee then took over the game, completing a natural hat trick with goals at 8:51, 5:48 (a shorthanded effort), and 1:38 – the eventual game-winner. Despite being outshot 13-9 in the opening frame, the Kings' clinical finishing gave them a commanding lead they would never relinquish.
The Spartans mounted a comeback attempt in the second period, capitalizing on the Kings' penalty troubles. Maxwell Kramer scored on the power play at 14:05, followed by even-strength goals from Chale Primrose and Jacob Mack to cut the deficit to 5-3. However, Hunter Lee responded with his fourth goal of the game – another shorthanded marker – at 8:20 to restore momentum. Beckett Cochrane added another for the Kings late in the period, sending them to the intermission with a 7-3 advantage. The period was marred by eight total penalties, with both teams spending significant time shorthanded.
Young Kings put the game completely out of reach in the third period, adding three more goals to their tally. After Jacob Mack scored his second for the Spartans at 14:33, the Kings closed the game with authority. Boswell Koliaska, Thatcher Zaina with his second of the game, and Jackson Pregernig all found the back of the net in the final minutes. Despite being outshot 48-32 overall, the Kings' offense proved unstoppable, with Hunter Lee's four-goal performance and multiple-point games from Marek Ohler, Beckett Cochrane, Boswell Koliaska, and Owen Siemens highlighting a complete team offensive effort.
