The Northern HC unleashed a relentless offensive assault from the opening faceoff, overwhelming the Wolverines Hockey Academy in a decisive 9-1 victory. The tone was set early as Northern HC fired 17 shots in the first period alone. Beaux Blatz opened the scoring just over five minutes in, assisted by Benson Rae and Beau Lamontagne. Chaz Hall then doubled the lead late in the period, with Lamontagne picking up his second assist of the night on what would prove to be the game-winning goal. The Wolverines showed a brief spark in the second period when Riley Carter, assisted by Griffin Meston, found the back of the net to cut the deficit to 2-1. However, that was the only blemish on an otherwise dominant performance by the Northern HC netminders, Ryker Novak and Tate Poitras, who combined for the win despite the lack of tracked save data.
Any hope of a Wolverines comeback was quickly extinguished as Northern HC erupted for five unanswered goals in a chaotic second period. Benson Rae scored his first of two, followed quickly by a goal from Taysen Couillonneur. Rae then netted a shorthanded marker, showcasing Northern's lethal special teams. Preston Anderson and Miller Clements added goals before the period ended, with Clements scoring in the final seconds to cap a devastating five-goal frame. The third period saw more of the same, with Chaz Hall netting his second of the game on the power play and Beaux Blatz sealing his multi-point night with another even-strength tally. The Wolverines' goalie, Brianna Regan, faced an incredible 52 shots in a valiant but ultimately overwhelmed effort.
The game was not without its physical moments, as penalties for Too Many Players, Roughing, and Cross-Checking were called in the second period. The third period saw trips called on both Griffin Meston of the Wolverines and Jaxon Fialkowski of Northern HC. In the end, the story was Northern HC's explosive and balanced offense, with multi-point nights from Beaux Blatz, Chaz Hall, Benson Rae, Beau Lamontagne, Miller Clements, and Preston Anderson proving far too much for the Wolverines to handle.
