The Queen City Young Guns put on an offensive clinic from start to finish, overwhelming the Sauce Hockey Academy with a decisive 12-4 victory. The game began with both teams trading early goals, as Ledger Kachur and Tucker Rudnitski scored for the Young Guns within two minutes of each other in the first period. Sauce Hockey Academy responded with Brody Wilson finding the net late in the period, but Connor Hanska restored the two-goal lead for Queen City with just ten seconds remaining in the opening frame, setting the tone for what was to come.
The second period turned into a shooting gallery as the Young Guns exploded for seven goals. Kachur completed his hat trick with two more tallies, while Emerson Aulie scored twice and added an assist in a dominant individual performance. Hayden Wickenheiser and Austin Lucci also contributed to the offensive barrage, with Lucci setting up Aulie for one goal before scoring one of his own. Sauce Hockey Academy showed brief flashes of resistance with Matthew Tackney and Jack Jarvis finding the back of the net, but they couldn't stem the tide of Queen City's relentless attack.
The final period saw the Young Guns continue their dominance with three more goals, including another from Aulie to complete his own hat trick and a second from Hanska. Tackney added his second of the game for Sauce Hockey Academy, but it was merely a consolation in what became a lopsided affair. Penalties plagued both sides throughout the contest, with Sauce Hockey Academy's Dawson Davison and Jack Hope both taking minor penalties, while Queen City's Tucker Rudnitski, Connor Macgillis, and Deacon Macdonald also found themselves in the box. Despite the penalty trouble, Queen City's offensive firepower proved unstoppable as they cruised to an impressive road victory.
