Greyson Hayes opened the scoring for the Saints midway through the first period, but the Rebels quickly responded on the power play, with Cooper Jones finding the net off helpers from Barrett Nellis and Cache Kelly. The period ended with the Saints reclaiming the lead as Ashton McAdam scored, assisted by Chase Strilchuk and Jace Filewich, setting the tone for the rest of the night.
The second period saw the Rebels tie the game again on another power-play marker, this time from Parker Lofstrom with an assist from Barrett Nellis. However, the momentum was short-lived. The third period was all Saints as they put the game out of reach. Chase Strilchuk scored early, assisted by Ashton McAdam, and Cole McGregor added a power-play goal with helpers from Bowen Herman and Greyson Hayes. Ashton McAdam capped off a stellar multi-point night with a shorthanded, empty-net goal in the final seconds, assisted by Turner Mobley and Chase Strilchuk. The Rebels' penalty trouble mounted with Nate McClung taking two body-checking minors, hampering any comeback attempt. In net, Madden Tappauf backstopped the Saints to the win, while the Rebels' tandem of Dax Krol and Beau Shofner faced a barrage from a Saints offense that found its rhythm in all situations.
