The Aces dominated possession, outshooting the Bandits 10-7 in the first period, and carried that momentum into a dominant second frame. Cash Smiley doubled the lead early in the second period, and DeBlieck struck again for what would stand as the game-winning goal, with Smiley returning the favor with an assist. The HDC Bandits showed resilience in the third period, finally solving Aces goaltender Dawson Komant. On a power play, Clark MacCallum put the visitors on the board with help from Mateo Sotto. Later, while shorthanded, Colton Toner scored an unassisted goal to cut the deficit to 4-2. However, any hope of a comeback was extinguished just 28 seconds later when Christopher Cirone restored the three-goal cushion for the Aces, assisted by Nathan Ehrlich. The Bandits' penalty trouble continued, with Colton Miller taking two minors and Henry Bradley and Charlie Joy also serving time, which hampered their ability to mount sustained pressure. In contrast, the Aces' discipline was slightly better, though they saw penalties to Ajax Rocque and a pair of trips called on Christopher Cirone.
