The Spartan Hockey Academy and Aces Hockey Academy delivered a classic in the Hockey Super League, with the home Spartans emerging with a narrow 4-3 victory in a back-and-forth contest. The Spartans set the tone early, striking three times in the opening frame. Beckhem Falloon opened the scoring just under three minutes in, assisted by Stavros Warriner. Callum Sherban doubled the lead midway through the period, and Warriner then turned from provider to scorer, finishing a play set up by Falloon and Jack Blair to give the Spartans a commanding 3-0 lead after twenty minutes. The Aces, however, refused to fold. Jax Chiasson got them on the board in the second period, and a power-play marker from Augustine Paziuk early in the third, with Grayden Patrie assisting, brought the visitors within a single goal and shifted all the momentum to the Aces' bench.
The game's intensity was reflected on the scoresheet and in the penalty box, with both teams taking four minors apiece. The Spartans' Maddox Kinjo took two infractions, while Everett Laluk also served two penalties for the home side. The Aces' discipline lapses proved costly in the third period. With Braxton Madu serving an interference minor, the Spartans' power play delivered the decisive blow. Stavros Warriner netted his second of the game—the eventual game-winner—with Blair and Falloon picking up their second assists of the night, restoring a two-goal cushion for the Spartans. The Aces showed tremendous fight, as Bennett Bolding scored with just under five minutes to play, assisted again by the playmaking duo of Patrie and Paziuk, to make it 4-3 and set up a frantic finish.
In a game where official goalie statistics were not tracked, the final shot totals told a story of resilience and pressure. The Aces fired 46 shots on the Spartan net, outshooting their hosts 16-12 in a desperate third period, but could not find the equalizer. The Spartans' defense and goaltending held firm in the final minutes to secure the hard-fought win. For the Spartans, the line of Beckhem Falloon, Stavros Warriner, and Jack Blair was dynamic, combining for six points, while for the Aces, Grayden Patrie was a catalyst with three assists in the losing effort.
