The Spartan Hockey Academy turned their home ice into a shooting gallery, overwhelming Alberta Pro Hockey with a relentless offensive attack to secure a commanding 10-4 victory. The game started with a surprising burst from the visitors, as Paxton Chetek stunned the home crowd with two quick even-strength goals, the second unassisted, to give Alberta an early 2-0 lead. The Spartans' discipline wavered with a trip from Jaden Rai, but they responded with a shorthanded strike from Griffin Evans to extend the Alberta lead to 3-0. Undeterred, the Spartans finally ignited. Chase Harris, assisted by Noah Crawler and Quade Toews, got the home side on the board. Just over a minute later, Koen Buckingham, with helpers from Tyson Raffan and Chris Cepicka, cut the deficit to one. Capitalizing on a power play from an Alberta slash, Noah Crawler, set up by Chase Harris, tied the game 3-3 before the first intermission, completely shifting the momentum.
The second period was a masterclass in offensive pressure from the Spartans, who poured in five goals to seize control. Quade Toews, assisted by Camden Swainson and goalie Harrison Skowronski, gave the Spartans their first lead. Cameron Brien followed with what would stand as the game-winner. Samuel Nowak and Camden Swainson, on a power play, added to the tally before Tyson Raffan buried another to make it 8-3. Alberta's Jedrek Tokarczyk managed a shorthanded goal to briefly interrupt the onslaught, but the damage was done. The Spartans' forecheck was ferocious, and their transition game left Alberta scrambling, as evidenced by the lopsided 30-20 shot advantage through two periods.
Any hope of an Alberta comeback was extinguished early in the third. Koen Buckingham completed his hat trick with two more even-strength goals, his final marker assisted by Liam Schuyler and Ayden Moncks, to push the score to a decisive 10-4. The Spartans' defensive corps and goalie Harrison Skowronski, who faced 26 shots, locked things down the rest of the way, allowing only six shots in the final frame. The game was a penalty-filled affair, with both sides combining for 11 infractions, but it was the Spartans' ability to capitalize on their chances and their depth scoring—with goals from nine different players—that told the story of a comprehensive team victory.
