The Sauce Hockey Academy came out flying and never looked back, cruising to a decisive 6-2 victory over the Aces Hockey Academy. From the opening puck drop, Sauce established their offensive presence, outshooting the Aces 10-6 in the first period. The scoring started early, with Enzo Fournier opening the floodgates just 1:27 into the game. The Aces' discipline then faltered, taking two quick penalties that Sauce capitalized on with ruthless efficiency. Fournier netted his second on the power play, and Crosby Thomas followed up just 32 seconds later with what would stand as the game-winning goal, giving Sauce a commanding 3-0 lead heading into the first intermission.
The second period saw more of the same relentless pressure from Sauce Hockey Academy. Parker Christianson and Enzo Fournier—completing his hat-trick—scored even-strength goals to extend the lead to 5-0. A late power-play goal from Kase Lindberg, assisted by Nash Hansen and Carter Seabrook, made it a six-goal advantage and seemed to put the game completely out of reach. The Aces struggled to contain Sauce's dynamic offense, with goalie Owen Pelletier facing a barrage of 31 shots through two periods. The Aces' penalty trouble continued, with Bennett Bolding taking two minors, including one for an illegal check to the head, further hampering any comeback efforts.
To their credit, the Aces Hockey Academy showed resilience in the final frame, finally solving Sauce goalie Calum Stasiuk. While shorthanded, Theodore Wells broke the shutout bid with a nice assist from Braxton Madu. The duo connected again later in the period, with Madu scoring and Wells picking up the helper, providing a small consolation for the home team. Despite being outshot 10-8 in the third, Stasiuk was solid when called upon, turning aside 25 total shots for the win. The story of the night, however, was the explosive offense of Sauce, led by Enzo Fournier's hat-trick and a four-point night from Crosby Thomas, who tallied a goal and three assists in a dominant team performance.
